Apex Extrusion

Apex for passenger car and lighttrucks normally consist of 1 rubber
compound. For this reason HFrm
offers a single extruder with a
head.
The extruder size is 90mm and
the screw length is 16 L/D.
Both single or dual strips
can be produced.
The head is pneumatically
operated.
It is of course possible to
manufacture bead fillers for
trucks using a single extruder.
However duplex sets are today
becoming more and more the
common standard.
These apex strips are made
out of 2 different rubber
compounds.
HFrm offers the duplex set
with two 90mm extruders and
a hydraulically operated head.
The product is a single strip
width up to 140mm, gauge up
to 35mm
Both the single head and the
duplex head have properly
designed flow channels.
The cassettes include
performers and die plates.

These apex extrusion units
are designed to produce
high quality strips with
an excellent repeatability
within tight tolerances.
The heads and the tooling
are easy to handle.
The extrusion sets have a
long life expectancy and
